Get Involved

The Rainbow Academy is honoured to partner with and be sponsored by over twenty local, national and international government, corporate, sector and individual donors from South Africa, The United States, Norway and Ireland.

Since 2010, there has been great media appetite for this project and partnership with numerous live TV and radio guest appearances and VIP performances. To date, INM have given about R1m in media support and Ogilvy and Mather the same in PR and Marketing. The growth of the partnership, also its successes, activities and objectives, have been widely marketed and publicised in live TV and press interviews, print and press releases, documentary interviews and publications. The partnership has also been widely promoted on all public print (brochures, prospectuses, etc) , in online communications (emailers) and online social media platforms (website, Twitter , Facebook, Instagram), etc.

Community Involvement

TV and radio interviews have covered the extraordinary rise of Rainbow Academy students with special performances for president Jacob Zuma, Premier Helen Zille, Struggle heroes as Albie Sachs, Ronnie Kasrils and a host of national and international dignitaries.

Students perform annually in several corporate events and cultural shows, such as, the National Art Gallery, Slave Lodge and iziko museum. Other performances include the Cape Town Carnival, CANCER Relay, Cape Town Partnership City First Thursday, Quarterly recitals, St Patricks Day Celebration, Human Rights Day, Youth Day Shows at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre, Mandela Day, Woman’s day, Heritage Day and the sounds Fringe Festival.” Prospectus 2014
