If you missed our fundraising Halloween Gala Dinner on the 31st of October this year, you missed the party of the year! We had a celebration fit for Kings and Queens at The President Hotel with “out of this world” Halloween decor, food, costumes, performances, sublime giveaways, auctions & prizes with special guest Marc Lottering (MC), Key note speaker Wilmot James and DJ Bobby Brown from Smile FM. What a night to remember!

To celebrate MANDELA DAY, Mandela Rhodes Place Hotel & Spa and Cape Town Partnership joined hands in putting together a special Knit-a-thon and City Walk programme with donation drives, competitions, specials and entertainment by Rainbow Academy in St. Georges. The day was filled with performances of song, poetry, music in honour of our great leader, Nelson Mandela and enjoyed by the hundreds young and old who donated their 67 minutes participating in the Knit-a-thon. All blankets will be donated to the Little Fighters Cancer Trust.

The Rainbow Academy achieved 100% (Distinction) for our Group Musical Theatre Exam (Grade 7) and 2 distinctions for our music examination candidates. This is a 100% DISTNCTION RATE pass rate for 15 of our students entered into London Trinity Exams this year. Exams are internationally recognized and accredited and are a huge personal and career stepping stone for all our students.

We would like to congratulate our teachers, staff and students on their brilliant work in particular Carla Diamond (Head &Script Writer Musical Theatre), Natasha Starkenburg (Voice), Derek Bowers (Dance) and Charl Clayton (Music). We wish our graduates every success for the future and their new career paths embarking on tertiary education and careers in the industry.
